Top-seeded Bethlehem meets No. 4 Guilderland in Tuesday’s Section II Class AA girls volleyball tournament semifinals.
Bethlehem (16-2) advanced with a 3-1 victory over Columbia Thursday. The Lady Eagles won the first two games by scores of 25-16 and 25-12. Columbia took the third game 25-17 before Bethlehem sealed the victory by winning the fourth game 25-17.
Kat Rice had 17 kills, two blocks and two service aces for Bethlehem. Jaci Oskam contributed seven kills, three blocks and an ace.
Guilderland defeated Schenectady 3-1 in another quarterfinal game Thursday. The Patriots won the first game 25-23 before the Lady Dutch swept the next three games 25-16, 25-17 and 25-15.
Allison Van Doren had 22 service points including six aces, 23 assists and six kills for Guilderland. Liz Tapler chipped in 11 kills and 14 digs, and Mary Kelly added nine kills.`
