The Ballston Spa girls swim team fended off a late rally by Shaker for a 96-90 dual meet victory Tuesday.
The Scotties took the lead in the 200-yard freestyle relay and held on through the last three events to pull out the six-point victory.
Ballston Spa’s Addison Walkowiak showed she was more than a diver at Tuesday’s meet. Not only did Walkowiak win the 1-meter diving competition, but she also took first place in the 50 freestyle.
Katie Barno (100 butterfly), Karly Haraden (500 freestyle) and Stefani Schmitz (100 backstroke) also won individual events for the Scotties.
Talia Sternbach led Shaker with wins in the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle. Julia Enright (200 freestyle) and Danielle Renchkovsky (100 breaststroke) added first-place finishes for the Blue Bison.`
