On Tuesday, Oct. 12, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Rotterdam police responded to a reported fight in progress call at the Mohawk Manor Apartments, on 325 Duanesburg Road. Police said according to callers there was a gun possibly displayed during the altercation. Callers also gave a description of a suspect and a vehicle involved with the incident, said police.
The vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival, but police spotted and stopped the suspected vehicle a short distance from the scene. After police interviewed the occupants a search of the vehicle was conducted. Police alleged finding a loaded .38 caliber revolver and a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.
Rotterdam police arrested the driver, Ann M. Samuels, 23, of 1935 Golf Ave., Schenectady, for the felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
Rotterdam police also arrested the passenger, Nicholas F. Marx, 27, of 1016 Cutler St., Schenectady, for the felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and a violation charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both suspects were arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and remanded to the custody of the Schenectady County Jail.
