The Colonie boys volleyball team needed five games to defeat Mohonasen in Wednesday’s Suburban Council match.
The Garnet Raiders won the first two games 25-23 and 25-17 before the Mighty Warriors took the next two games 25-23 and 25-21. Colonie edged Mohonasen 26-24 in the final game to take the match 3-2.
Nate Krouse had 21 kills and 6 blocks for Colonie (8-5). Steve Sleasman contributed 15 kills, and Kyle McPadden added 45 assists.
Garrett Sisson recorded 14 kills and three blocks for Mohonasen (5-8). Josh Johnson chipped in with 30 assists.`
