Shenendehowa graduate Alex Leuchanka and Colonie grad Emily Finnegan were the top runners for the University at Albany cross country teams at last weekend’s Greater Louisville Classic in Kentucky.
Leuchanka completed the 8-kilometer course with a time of 24:37.99 to place 42nd out of more than 320 runners in the men’s division. Finnegan finished the 5k women’s course with a time of 18:16.00 to take 69th place out of 302 runners.
Leuchanka and Finnegan have both been UAlbany’s top runners this season. Leuchanka has led the Great Danes in three of the four races, while Finnegan has guided the women’s pack in the last three invitationals.`
