The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake girls cross country team swept Guilderland and Mohonasen in Tuesday’s Suburban Council meet at Tawasentha Park in Guilderland.
The Lady Spartans defeated Guilderland 23-32 and Mohonasen 15-50. Guilderland earned a split by beating Mohonasen 15-50.
Dani Martino led BH-BL by winning the race in a time of 16:55. Guilderland’s Michelle Fish was second with a time of 17:00, and teammate Lea Cure finished third with a time of 17:33, but four more Lady Spartans crossed the finish line after Cure to seal BH-BL’s victory.
Allison Thayer led Mohonasen with a 23rd-place finish in a time of 19:44.
In the boys’ division, BH-BL defeated Guilderland 22-35 and Mohonasen 15-50. Guilderland handled Mohonasen 15-50.
Otis Ubriaco led the Spartans with a first-place finish in a time of 14:27. Guilderland’s Andrew Coy was second with a time of 14:43, and BH-BL’s Joe Chapman finished third with a time of 14:46.
Mike Badger led Mohonasen with an 18th-place finish in a time of 16:08.`
