Chris Alescio had a goal and an assist to lead the Scotia-Glenville boys soccer team to a 2-0 Foothills Council victory over visiting Glens Falls Friday.
Alescio tallied midway through the first half to get the Tartans (2-0 league, 3-1 overall) on the scoreboard. Then in the second half, Gramm Gordon redirected Alescio’s free kick past the Glens Falls goaltender to double Scotia-Glenville’s advantage.
The Indians (0-2, 2-2) had several scoring chances of their own, but Scotia-Glenville goalie Dan Saccocio made the key saves to preserve the shutout.
