The Saratoga Springs Police Department has issued traffic safety advisories for Friday, June 4, to Sunday, June 6.
On Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5, The Dave Matthews Band will perform at SPAC, with both concerts being sold out. Motorists should expect very long delays along both Routes 9 and 50 in both directions. Police encourage motorists traveling on those roads to use an alternate route, if possible.
On Sunday, June 6, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., The American Diabetes Association will conduct their Tour de Cure bike rides of varying distances. The rides all begin from the Saratoga High School. Police are asking motorists to use caution in the areas surrounding the high school, paying particular attention to West Avenue, Congress Avenue, South Broadway and Route 50 South.
On Sunday, June 6, the Cantina Kids Run will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The race begins in the Saratogian parking lot off Lake Avenue, so the northbound right lane on Broadway from Congress Park to Lake Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic during this time. The left lane will remain open.
Also on Sunday, June 6, Caroline Street from Broadway to Henry Street will be closed to vehicles beginning at 10 a.m. for the Caroline Street Arts and Blues Festival. Side streets including Maple Avenue, Putnam Street, Pavilion Row and Henry Streets will also be temporarily closed in this area.
