Four men were arrested for an early morning burglary that happened on Saturday, May 1, Saratoga Springs police announced.
Around 4 a.m. on Saturday, Lt. Greg Veitch said police responded to a 911 call from a resident on North Broadway who reported he had woken up to find several individuals stealing property from his home.
William Grant, 27, of Catherine Street in Saratoga Springs, Thomas McCall, 21, of Catherin Street in Saratoga Springs, and Jared Cenate, 25, of Route 32 in Schuylerville, were arrested shortly after the crime. Joshua Salak, 23 of Catherine Street in Saratoga Springs, was arrested in connection with the case on Sunday, according to police reports.
Grant, McCall and Cenate were charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree. Cenate was charged with an additional count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree and Salak was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree.
According to police, officers apprehended Grant still inside the residence and caught Cenate and McCall as they fled the scene. Salak was arrested the next night around 11:45 p.m. when police observed him dressed entirely in black and riding a bike in the general area of the burglary, allegedly possessing the stolen laptop reported missing but not recovered.
All four individuals were arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court and are scheduled to appear in City Court on May 4.
