In the past, the Bethlehem girls lacrosse team put games into running time because it would jump out to a double-digit lead.
Niskayuna turned the tables on the Lady Eagles last Thursday. The Silver Warriors jumped out to a 10-0 lead and cruised to a 19-6 Suburban Council victory.
It was the third conse-cutive loss for Bethlehem (3-4 league, 4-4 overall), which began the season by winning four of its first five games.
Shannon Pfohl and Emily Ryan each scored five goals for Niskayuna (5-1, 6-1). Kayla Treanor contributed four goals, two assists and numerous draw controls.
Cameron Caesar tallied four times for Bethlehem, which was out-shot 26-17 by Niskayuna.
The Lady Eagles entered last Thursday’s game off a 10-9 loss to Saratoga Springs. Bethlehem rallied from a 6-2 halftime deficit with seven second-half goals, but Morgan Powell tallied with less than 40 seconds left to give the Blue Streaks the victory.
Sarah Campbell had five goals and two assists for Saratoga, and goaltender Kathleen Hannan stopped 12 shots. Shirah Fudin led Bethlehem with four goals and two assists.
The Lady Eagles return to action Wednesday when they visit Columbia.`
