The Niskayuna Friends of Music will present cellist Jonathan Kaledin and pianist Mary Moran on Sunday, April 18 at 3 p.m. at the Niskayuna High School auditorium. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Niskayuna Friends of Music Scholarship Fund to support Niskayuna graduates in musical pursuits.
Kaledin, who received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard University and his Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law, has played with the Copley String Quartet, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Moran is a graduate of the Crane School of Music in Potsdam and is a private piano teacher in the Capital District. She has also an adjunct faculty at Russell Sage College and Hudson Valley Community College. Moran was also a faculty member of the Taubman Institute of Piano from 1981 to 2002 and is now the Senior Director and faculty member of the Golandsky Institute, who hold a summer symposium on the Taubman Approach at Princeton University each July.
Tickets are available for $7 each and families of three or more can buy a family ticket fro $20. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Brady at the High School District Music Office, Maureen Kim at 377-3797 or Sally Deaton at 786-1927.
