Eric Mueller’s RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning propelled the Bethlehem baseball team to a 4-3 victory over Queensbury in Monday’s non-league game in Delmar.
The Eagles (1-0) scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and added a run in the third to take a 3-0 lead. The Spartans (0-1) got one run back in the top of the fourth off starting pitcher Mike Wollner and added two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 3 before Mueller put Bethlehem ahead for good.
Junior Stephen Drew picked up the victory in relief of Wollner.`
