Johannes Stolk, 44, of Ten Broeck, Scotia was arrested by State Troopers in Princetown on Wednesday, Jan. 13, for unlawful surveillance and eavesdropping on his estranged wife, both class E felonies.
According to a release from State Police, following a two week investigation, Stolk was apprehended as he left his apartment on Wednsday morning. Earlier, the state police’s electronics unit seized hidden video cameras and receivers from Stolk’s wife’s Vley Road residence in the Village of Scotia. Following his arrest, state police executed a search warrant on Stolk’s two vehicles and the apartment where he was residing. Troopers seize laptops and various electronics equipment, according to reports.
Stolk was arraigned before Justice Brian Mercy of the Village of Scotia and posted a $10,000 bail. He is scheduled in court next on Jan. 19.`
