The Mohonasen girls basketball team used a big fourth quarter to pull out a 43-37 Suburban Council victory over Saratoga Springs Tuesday in Rotterdam.
The Mighty Warriors saw a five-point halftime lead slip away, but they came back and outscored the Blue Streaks 16-10 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Ashley Tallman and Lea McLain each netted 18 points for Mohonasen. Victoria Wilson’s 13 points paced Saratoga.
Mohonasen visits Niskayuna Friday to take on a Silver Warrior squad coming off a 49-44 loss to Bethlehem. Ashley McCaughan’s 14 points led Niskayuna.
In other girls basketball action Tuesday, Schenectady Christian defeated Duanesburg 47-32 in a Western Athletic Conference game, while Schalmont lost to Lansingburgh 40-30 in a Colonial Council contest.
Heidi Frazer scored 19 points, and Rachael Brush added 11 points for Schenectady Christian, which improved its WAC record to 4-0 (7-1 overall).`
