Timothy Hughes, 18, of 1062 Washout Road, Glenville, was arrested by Glenville Police Department Detectives on charges on two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, all felonies, on Jan. 5 at 2:30 p.m., according to a press release from the department.
Hughes sold prescription drugs, that are also a controlled substance on two occasions, with one of those sales being on Scotia-Glenville School property at Sacandaga Elementary . According to Detective William Marchewka of the Glenville Police Department, the drugs were prescribed anti-depressants which were not prescribed to Hughes. Hughes was arrested and released to the custody of his mother by Glenville Town Justice Davenport, he is scheduled to reappear in court on Jan. 19, at 5:30 p.m.
Detectives at the Police Department said that concerned citizens with any other information regarding drug activity in the town are encouraged to call the department at 384-0135 and all calls will remain anonymous.`
