The Bethlehem Central School District is making another addition to its toolbox in the quest to keep parents informed, and this one weighs in at 140 characters or less.
BC recently started a feed on the popular micro-messaging Web site Twitter. The feed can be found at www.twitter.com/BethlehemCSD.
Those with Twitter accounts can follow the district’s feed and be updated on all developments. BC Twitter updates will always be reflected on the Web site, so those getting their information from www.bcsd.k12.ny.us won’t miss out on anything.
Twitter is joining the district’s other notification tools, which include the redesigned Web site, email notifications and a text message system. The Twitter feed should perform similarly to these other outlets, in that it is designed to keep parents and residents appraised on meetings, events, deadlines, delays and closures.
Unlike these other notifiers, the Twitter page is two-way. Twitter users will be able to post their own messages on the feed.
