Bruce Sherwin has stated he will be stepping down as chairman of the Guilderland’s Zoning Review committee.
The committee has been assigned the task of making recommendations to the Town Board for updating the town’s zoning code.
I think it was mostly time constraints said Sherwin, also citing his service to the McKnownville Fire Department. `I had to make a decision about where to put my energy` said Sherwin
As of yet a new chairperson has not been named. However, Sherwin has stated he believes Ken Brownell, a current member of the committee will be selected as the next chair.
Supervisor Runion stated that picking a new chairperson would be up to the Town Board. When asked if Brownell will be tapped for the position Runion said `he is the person I would recommend`. According to Runion the issue will be addressed either at the Jan. 1 organizational meeting of the Town Board, or at its Jan 19 meeting.
