Deputy Supervisor Joe Signore, said in a statement that, `it is a beautiful park. Thanks to the efforts of Supervisor Tommasone, who over the last several years actively sought funding to assist in upgrading the park, we can now provide drinking water, handicapped accessible bathroom facilities and other needed amenities which will continue to make the Kiwanis Park a very popular rest stop for the users of the Mohawk Hudson Bike/Hike Trail and for those using small craft along the Mohawk River.
The Town of Rotterdam’s Highway Department and Parks Department personnel provided matching assistance with this grant. The Kiwanis Park is located past I-890 and I-90 intersection on Exit 26 on property owned by the Canal Corporation.
