CORRECTION–This story has been amended from an earlier version that gave the wrong date for an upcoming meeting.
The Bethlehem Town Board will take at look at the preliminary 2010 town budget this evening at a meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
The board held a budget workshop on Monday night. According to town law, a tentative budget must be filed by the end of September.
The budget process will continue on through much of the rest of the year, however, with a public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Also tonight, the Town Board will likely enter into executive session at the end of the meeting to discuss Police Chief Louis Corsi’s racial slur. His comment, made over three years ago, was uncovered last week as the result of a nearly four-month long investigation.
It was unclear what action, if any, the town might take in the matter.
