John A. Graziano Jr. will take over as the Colonie GOP Chairman, replacing Harry D’Agostino, who retired from the position last month.
Prior to his stepping down, D’Agostino had held the position for more than 36 years.
Graziano Jr. was elected unanimously as the Colonie Republican Committee’s new leader at a committee meeting held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Colonie Republican headquarters on Wolf Road.
He is currently the president of Capital Hill Management Services and the former minority leader of the Albany County Legislature.
I am humbled that the committee has selected me to lead such an outstanding organization, Graziano Jr. said in a press release. `I am taking over at a time when energy is high. The people in Colonie are enthusiastic about [Town] Supervisor candidate Mike Hoblock and the Colonie Republican team.`
Graziano Jr. said his No. 1 goal in his new position is for the party to win the November election against incumbent Democratic Supervisor Paula Mahan.
