Woodstrream Drive in Clifton Park will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, until approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, according to the town Highway Department, as work is done to replace a deteriorated culvert under the road.
The 48-inch diameter pipe allows the Twin Brook to flow beneath the roadway. It’s forty years old, having been in place since the building of the subdivision in the early 1970s. A portion of the structure has already failed, causing damage to other utilities.
The Highway Department will place barricades at the entrance of Woodstream at Plank Road and at its intersection with Meadow Valley Drive. All traffic in Country Knolls south should use the Mountain Way or Twilight Drive entrances during the construction period.
