The tastiest water in Saratoga County will be declared tomorrow at the Saratoga County Fair in Ballston Spa.
A public blind taste test will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time the winner will be announced. Water from the municipalities of Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, Wilton and Mechanicville will compete to go on to the regional finals.
Albany and Schenectady counties conducted taste tests earlier this summer, with Latham and the City of Schenectady rising to the top, respectively.
The final round is to be held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on Sept. 1, where the best tasting water in the state will be crowned. This year marks the 23rd iteration of the statewide contest, and about 150 municipalities will participate.
