Armed with an endorsement from the Saratoga Springs Republican Committee, Mayor Scott Johnson announced on Wednesday that he will seek a second term in office.
In a statement, Johnson said his platform is built out of a need for fiscal conservatism, balanced with a need to expand the tax base while lessening the tax burden. He also said spoke of the importance of conducting city business with professionalism and integrity.
I believe we’ve made great strides toward regaining the confidence of our community in the Office of the Mayor, in just one year since taking office, said Johnson. `I pledge to continue my efforts to deliver a Mayor’s office that our City both deserves and expects.`
