After losing eight of its first nine games, the Bethlehem boys lacrosse team has gotten its act together.
The Eagles (3-5 league, 3-8 overall) scored six goals in the fourth quarter to defeat Columbia 10-6 Saturday in a Suburban Council Gold Division game.
Eric Halek led the charge with five goals. Stephen Russo contributed two goals and an assist, and goaltender Andy Reilly made 12 saves.
Bethlehem’s offense also clicked in the first quarter of last Thursday’s 14-7 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. The Eagles jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first 12 minutes, and they never looked back in avenging an earlier 10-9 loss to the Spartans.
Halek and Russo each scored five goals, while Andy Bettinger and Griffin Blanchard each chipped in a pair of goals for Bethlehem.
