The Farmers Market at the Crossings is introducing a community table to the market this season.
The community table will be available for use, free of charge, by non-profit and community organizations to fundraise and spread awareness. To participate in the community table, contact Alison McLean at 783-2729.
The returning vendors this year are Barber’s Farm, Burger Farm, Blue Moon Dressings, Bowman Orchards, Four Brothers Cheese, George’s Market, Karen’s Produce, Harmony House Marketplace, Lloyd Spears Honey, Maynard Farms, Nagimor Farm, Professor Java’s Coffee Sanctuary, Sherry’s Kitchen, Stock’s Tea Company, Sweets and Treats, The Farm At Kristy’s Barn and Worldling Pleasures Cheeses. There are also a number of new vendors.
Due to the success of last year’s market, the 2009 season has been extended by a month and parking at the Crossings has been increased to accommodate customers of the market.
The Crossings Park is in Colonie off Albany-Shaker Road, across from Emerick Lane.
The market will be held Saturdays, June 6 to Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
