The Voorheesville girls basketball team lost to Hoosic Valley 25-23 in last Friday’s Section II, Class CC final at Hudson Valley Community College.
The game was a serious de-fensive battle, as both teams struggled to find open shots. Top-seeded Hoosic Valley (22-1) led 9-8 at halftime, with Carolyn Houston providing all of her team’s points.
Houston finished with 16 points to lead the Indians. Casey Becerra netted eight points for the Voorheesville Blackbirds (17-6).`
