A body found this morning in Saratoga Spa State Park has been identified as Alexander Carsky-Bush, 19, of Saratoga Springs.
Though authorities are waiting until an autopsy is performed tomorrow morning to declare a cause of death, they have labeled the incident as a suspicious death.
There is a diff between calling it a criminal matter and a suspicious death, said Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy III. `We have to be very careful about jumping to conclusions one way or another until the body can be really inspected.`
According to police, Carsky-Bush’s body was found at around 8:30 this morning by a woman exercising her dogs. The body was found off of the trail, frozen by the previous night’s frigid temperatures.
Though police are still investigating, Sergeant Jack Sadousky of the park police said there is no immediate reason to assume a crime has been committed.
`It doesn’t appear to be foul play, said Sadousky.
