20th Congressional District candidate Scott Murphy, D-Glens Falls, will be in Saratoga Springs today to open his local campaign headquarters.
The opening is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. at 328 Broadway, at which time Murphy will stand with Supervisor Joanne Yepsen and other city Democrats to speak on the necessity of economic reform and job creation.
The 20th encompasses all or part of 10 counties. It follows the Northway from just outside of Troy up to Lake Placid, and extends south and west to areas near Poughkeepsie and Bainbridge. Both Murphy and his opponent, Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, R-Schenectady, have been touring the district in preparation for a March 31 special election.`
