In celebration of Martin Luther King’s birthday, Jan. 19, and the inauguration of President Barack Obama, our nation’s first African American president, Jan. 20, the Guilderland Public Library will hold three special events.
It will show videos of selected speeches by Martin Luther King in its Storyhour Room Monday, Jan. 19.
On Tuesday, Jan. 20, the library will project Obama’s inauguration on its ig screen in its Normanskill Room.
Patrons are invited to share their thoughts about the inauguration in a special album at the Information Desk. The album will be available for comments Jan. 19 and 20. The album will then be made part of the library’s Local History Collection.
