Kathleen King, 80, of Greenwich Drive in Albany died as a result of an injury she sustained while delivering food for the Senior Services of Albany on in the late afternoon on Tuesday, Nov. 18, according to officials from the Albany Medical Center.
King was a volunteer delivering food in the Brandywine apartment complex located off of Route 155 in Guilderland at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, when she sustained the injury .
According to Guilderland Police she was injured on her delivery route after being struck by her own vehicle. King’s car began rolling down a hill and King chased after it but was struck by the vehicle. Police officers and residents off the complex lifted the car off of King, who was stuck underneath. As a result she suffered the now fatal head injury.`
