Colonie police are searching for a white male, about 18-20 years old weighing approximately 150 lbs who was involved in an attempted robbery at the Exxon Mobil at 1113 Central Ave.
According to Colonie Police Detective Lt. John VanAlstyne, the attempted robbery occurred at about 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19.
During the attempt, the individual, who wore black pants, a black jacket and covered his face with a white scarf, approached the counter of the gas station market with his hand in his pocket and demanded money. VanAlstyne said no weapon was displayed.
At that time, VanAlstyne said the clerk fled out the back door and the individual also fled the scene.
VanAlstyne also said police currently have no leads on suspects, but that they are currently working on the case.
