A two-car accident resulted in one vehicle being planted into a Exxon Mega Mart on the corner of Parkwood Drive and Central Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.
According to police, the driver of one of the vehicles, Robert E. Lider, 56, of Guilderland, was witnessed driving through a red light on Central Avenue.
Upon running the light, Sgt. Robert Donnelly of the Colonie Police Department said witnesses said Lider’s vehicle collided with another car and got sent off the road into the gas station.
Donnelly said, We probably won’t be able to get a speed, in terms of how fast Lider was driving when he collided with the other car.
While there were some injuries, Lider said, none were fatal.
Lider was issues several tickets for reckless driving.
