Saratoga Springs Supervisor Joanne Yepsen provided the state Board of Elections commissioners with documentation that could keep her name on the Democratic ballot for the 43rd Senate District.
Yepsen’s petition was ruled invalid by state election officials during a hearing, however she presented the commissioners with signed affidavits showing that the signatures were valid.
Yepsen’s petition fell short by 32 signatures.
If her petition is ruled valid by the commissioners, Yepsen could challenge Brian Premo and Michael Russo in a primary election.
