A meeting is scheduled for this morning (Friday, July 11) at 11:30 a.m. between Town Board members and a few residents to discuss the current town noise ordinance and a possible ammendment to it.
Eileen Franko, a Colonie resident of 18 years, thanked Supervisor Paula Mahan and the town board at last night’s Town Board meeting for putting a notice to be respecful of the noise level in the town newsletter, but said that more needs to be done because those who disobey the rules do not have disregard for what is written in newsletters.
With her, Franko had a binder filled with research she had done on appropriate noise decibal levels and noise ordinances in surrounding Capital District towns and cities.
Councilman Robert Becker invited Franko to today’s meeting and said that he would be willing to review Franko’s research and discuss the issue further with her.
