At a full Town Board meeting last night (June 26) a teary-eyed Robert Jaquay, director of the William K. Sanford Library, announced his plans to leave the library to retire effective Friday, June 27.
Prior to the meeting’s regular agenda, a group of Jaquay’s friends and colleagues presented him with a plaque, symbolizing their appreciation for his hard work and dedication over the past 29 years that he has been director.
Jaquay said he loved every day, of his job and that he is proud that he was a part of helping the library grow to what it is today.
