The view from Campus View Drive is not looking pretty lately. At least not to the residents who live on the street and can only see the dozens of cars lined up in front of their houses on a daily basis.
Residents voiced their concern at last night’s (Thursday, May 22) Town Board meeting, explaining to Supervisor Paula Mahan and the town board, that for over two years, college students from Siena who are not permitted to park on campus have been taking advantage of Campus View Drive.
But the problem is not only the parking, according to Beverly Cavallaro, a resident of Campus View. They throw their trash all over the lawn, she said.
Mahan held up a petition at Thursday’s meeting, encouraging any who are bothered by this issue to sign. Also at the meeting, Colonie Police Chief Steven Heider, asked that the town send a copy of the petition to the police so that they may assist in any way they can.
