Power went out for parts of Saratoga County after a tree fell on a primary power line near West High Road in Ballston Spa around 11 a.m., according to National Grid spokesman Patrick Stella.
National Grid estimates that 6,137 customers across Milton, Malta and Ballston Spa were affected by the outage. Saratoga Springs has remained unaffected.
Stella said crews were dispatched to the scene to try to restore power. As of 4 p.m., May 19, 2,362 residents were still without power. National Grid hopes to have power restored to most areas by 5 p.m.
