Bethlehem police have arrested four people in connection with an armed home invasion that occurred at 59 University St. in Selkirk early in the morning on Wednesday, April 23.
James M. Kennedo, 25, of Albany; Derek E. Galvin, 21, Albany; Clare P. Brady, 25, of Castleton; and Jessica R. Galasso, 20, of Troy, were all arrested and arraigned in Bethlehem Town court on Thursday, April 24, according to police.
The home invasion occurred in a development off of Elm Avenue called Elm Estates in Selkirk.
Two male suspects allegedly forced their way into the home with a handgun at 5:20 a.m. and made away with electronics from inside the home in a white mid-sized sedan, according to Bethlehem Police.
Police said that the residents reported that two black males wearing hoodies forced their way into the home by displaying the handgun.
Kennedo and Galvin are charged with felony counts of burglary, criminal use of a firearm, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, grand larceny and conspiracy.
Brady and Galasso were charged with felony counts of conspiracy and criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor criminal facilitation.
Kennedo and Galvin were remanded to the Albany County jail without bail and Brady and Galasso were sent to the Albany County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
All four are scheduled to reappear in Bethlehem Town Court on Tuesday, April 29, at 4 p.m. for a preliminary hearing. Members from the Albany Police and Watervliet Police departments assisted Bethlehem Police Detectives with the investigation.
New York State Division of Parole was also contacted due to Galvin being on parole for assault charges, and police say a majority of the stolen property has been recovered.
