The Scotia-Glenville boys basketball team saw first place ripped from its fingers in Thursday’s loss against a struggling Johnstown squad 49-44.
After building a six-point halftime lead, thanks to a 12-4 second quarter, the Tartans’ offense fell apart, allowing Johnstown (4-11, 6-14) to outscore them 28-17 in the second half.
Jordan Hill (16 points) and Adam Clute (15 points) led Johnstown’s offense. Joseph Ferrari scored a game high 21 points, but no other Scotia player reached double digits.
With the loss, Scotia-Glenville (8-4, 12-6) fell out of first place in the Foothills Council.`
