The Clifton Park Republican Committee has a new chair and vice chair for campaigns and communications, which according to committee members will provide a unifying force for the Clifton Park GOP.
Robert Wilcox and Adam Kramer, who decided to run on a unity ticket, after both sought the committee’s chairmanship, were elected to their posts unanimously Thursday, Feb. 7.
Wilcox, an attorney who has been on the committee for more than 18 years, will serve as the committee’s chair.
`I am honored and grateful to receive the support of my Republican colleagues to serve as their chairman,` Wilcox said. `We are sending a powerful and positive message that our committee is open, accessible, and vibrant.`
Wilcox resigned from his position on the Clifton Park Water Authority to run for the chairmanship. He will replace Mike Lisuzzo, who resigned in December after a vote of no confidence by the committee.
Kramer, a Clifton Park native, who works for Assemblyman James Tedisco, R-Schenectady, was elected vice chair for campaigns and communications, a new position on the committee’s executive board. He has been on the committee since 2003.
