Bethlehem Town supervisor Jack Cunningham notched the Independence Party line in his effort to defeat Republican/Conservative candidate Jim Grady this November.
Unofficial results show Cunningham winning the Independence line with a total of 209 votes to Grady’s 151 votes.
I appreciate everybody’s hard work, said Cunningham as the results came in to the Nathaniel Blanchard American Legion Hall on Tuesday evening.
`I’m very excited and it’s now on to November and victory there,` said Cunningham over the shouts of `Keep Cunningham` from his supporters.
Cunningham was appointed to the Town seat in April following Terri’s Egan’s resignation. Egan took a job with the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
