Mohonasen’s $40.2 million budget passed Tuesday night with 990 residents voting yes and 589 voting `no.`
The budget represents a 4 percent increase with a projected tax levy increase of 4.25 percent, which is the lowest increase in more than five years.
Also, a resolution to purchase five full-size school buses at a cost of $430,000 passed with 1,071 voting `yes` and 484 voting `no.`
The two new members of the Mohonasen School Board are Dominic Cafarelli with 772 votes and Charles Macejaka with 729 votes.
