A panel of residents, local governmental leaders, faculty, staff and parents will meet tonight to begin the process of advising the district on the creation of a 2007-08 school year budget.
The RCS School District Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) will meet tonight, starting at 6:30 p.m., and at least four more times over the coming two months, as it reviews specific areas of the district’s budget.
Tonight’s meeting will be conducted in the District Office Building at 26 Thatcher St. in Selkirk.
The goal of the committee, said Interim Business Administrator Gene Grasso, is to create a strong educational system that is financially responsible to the residents of the district.
