Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys Album Release Show

Hillbilly Rock N Roll

Madison Theater, Albany NY

Saturday, January 15th @8pm

Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys are returning to their roots for the release of their fifth album, “Hillbilly Rock N Roll.” On Saturday, January 15th at 8pm, they will take the stage at the Madison Theater in Albany, NY to bring you the newest songs and stories they have to offer. And if you’re familiar with their shows at all, you’ll know the stories are as good as the songs.

Music lovers in the capital region, can’t help but know the name Jim Gaudet. He has been making music locally, regionally, and then nationally for many years. The Railroad Boys joined him in 2009 to create the iconic group we all know now. They have a very strict philosophy which is creating one, big, down-home family through audience participation. There are songs the audience waits for like the shout-along number, “So Far So Good,” or maybe getting up and dancing to “If It Ain’t Cajun.”

The group consists of Jim Gaudet, guitar, singer, songwriter, Bobby Ristau, upright bass and backing vocals, Sten Isachsen, mandolin and backing vocals, Sara Milonovich, on fiddle and backing vocals, and “Upstate Richie” Pagano, on piano.

This album release at the Madison Theater feels like more than just another gig to the band. Three members currently reside in the Pine Hills/Madison Theater neighborhood which makes it the perfect location for their families, friends, and neighbors. It’s a special treat for the band to have such an opportunity like The Madison Theater right in their own backyard.

The new album promises to deliver as much, if not more, than all the albums that have come in the past. Sarah Craig, Executive Director at Caffe Lena said, “…it’s truly special. It sounds to me like a love letter for all the music that has brought you joy throughout your life. All the references to other songs, entwined with your own stories, make this a real attention grabber…If you can perform those songs live, you’re going to have the crowd hoooooting and hollering!”

Ticket info: $10/person, limited seating, call 518-438-1297 to make reservations. Masks are required unless sitting and actively eating.
