The Academy for Lifelong Learning, sponsored by SUNY Empire State College, begins registration for its spring term classes on Jan. 23.
Spring term classes take place April 10 through June 8. Classes are held weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Empire State College’s West Campus, located at 111 and 113 West Ave. Each class lasts two hours, and there is a wide variety of topics from relgious ethics and health and fitness to art and storytelling.
First and second choice class fees are $50 per five-week or more class or $25 per three- or four-week class. Additional classes are $25 per class.
To encourage good discussion, class sizes are limited. Please indicate your choice of courses in order of preference, and also list one alternate choice. Any open classes will be announced in March, with registration conducted on a first come, first served basis.
The term kicks off with a membership luncheon Wednesday, April 5, at 11 a.m., at the Saratoga Springs Knight of Columbus, 50 Pine Road.
Academy memberships are available for $60. Among the benefits are eligibility to enroll in classes for the spring term; participation in the Academy’s special interest groups, special events, trips and programs; discount cards to local businesses and restaurants; and more.
