COLONIE — Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. is holding its annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon Monday, Nov. 7, at the Beltrone Living Center.
Past events have drawn more than 150 veterans and their guests from the Capital District who wish to honor and thank members of the Armed Forces. For many in attendance, it is a way to connect with friends from the past, as well as build new friendships with others who have served the United States.
This year’s event features a performance by the Tri-County Banjo Band, a Presentation of the Colors and recognition of each veteran in attendance by the American Legion J.E. Zaloga Post 1520. The event concludes with a lunch for the veterans their guests.
The lunch is free for veterans from all service branches, but reservations are required.
