[dropcap color=”#888″ type=”square”]B[/dropcap]ETHLEHEM – On Tuesday, May 24, at about 12:20 PM, the Bethlehem Police Department responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress in the Elm Estates development in Bethlehem.
After arriving on the scene members of the Bethlehem Police Department found a smashed rear door to the residence. An interior search of the residence resulted in the officers locating a person who was causing damage to the inside of the house.
Officers were able to arrest the subject without further incident and prevent further damage to the house. Arrested was Vincent D. Potenza, 19, of Selkirk. Potenza was charged with felony counts of Burglary in the second degree and Criminal Mischief in the third degree, as well as a misdemeanor count of Possession of Burglar Tools.
Potenza was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court by the Honorable Judge Andrew Kirby, and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to Town Court on June 21, 2016, at 4:00PM.
