There's only eight days left in the New York Collegiate Baseball League season, and the East Division teams are scrambling to make up for lost time -- thanks to Mother Nature. Due to all the rain of the past seven weeks, teams like the Albany Dutchmen, Saratoga Phillies and Glens Falls Golden Eagles have to cram as many games in as possible to make up for the rainouts (the Dutchmen lost eight games to rain as of Monday).
The one thing that can't be made up is all the revenue lost due to the rainouts. Not that NYCBL teams make a ton of money on game day, but losing home games due to the weather does hurt in the financial column...
