Local Updates (24/7) Bank plans branch for Slingerlands shopping center Posted on: 09/22/09 Written by: Charles Wiff, Spotlight Staff email: wiffc@spotlightnews.com The former site of a Hollywood Video store in Slingerlands will at long last have a new tenant, as Capital Bank & Trust Co. announced on Monday Sept. 21, plans to build a sixth local branch there. Bethlehem Director of Economic Development and Planning Michael Morelli said that a building permit application has not yet been received in the town’s building department, but that a permit would likely be needed for the work involved with installing a bank branch at that location. The branch will have ATM and night drop services, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It was not immediately apparent if the branch would feature a drive through, but Morelli noted that the bank’s location on the plaza would make a drive through a difficult proposition. Capital Bank’s other locations are in Stuyvesant Plaza, on Wolf Road, Loudon Road, in Clifton Park and on Washington Avenue in Albany.
