Local Updates (24/7) Glenmont man dies in ATV accident Posted on: 10/12/09 Written by: Spotlight Newsroom, Staff email: news@spotlightnews.com Police in the Town of Bethlehem are reporting that a 48-year-ol Glenmont man suffered fatal injuries while riding an ATV on Sunday, Oct. 11. The accident occurred on a private driveway off of Jolley Road in Glenmont at approximately 2:18 p.m., according to Bethlehem police. The operator of the vehicle struck a rope used as a property gate and sustained sever head trauma after being ejected from the ATV and losing his helmet, police said. The operator, who was not identified, was transported to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police are investigating the incident.
